Fox News = an American Radio Rwanda?
The latest Media Matters headlines and then I’m dropping the teabaggers like the cheap twinkie hustlers they are:
O’Reilly defends Fox News’ coverage of tea parties as “vastly superior to anything else around”
CNN’s Tucker airs DHS report critics comparing it to McCarthyism, Nixon’s enemies list
Matthews gets DeLay to admit that Texas can’t secede from the Union
Rush defends Texas Gov. Perry’s secession comments “because this guy is not a fringe* kook”
Fox Nation fear mongering: “Is Homeland Security Targeting Tea Parties?”
Savage calls CNN’s Roesgen “a self-hating white woman, who couldn’t get a job as a hooker”
There are more links, but I think these make my point. One out of every 6.66 Americans hates other Americans more than they hate Islam, atheism, and Alex Baldwin put together. Teabagging isn’t about patriotism, it’s about declaring your contempt for other Americans. And Fox News will cheerfully accept corporate funding (advertising dollars) to drive these wedges as deep into our psyches as possible.
But hey, a second civil war would be great for ratings!
[P.S. In Minnesota not one elected official showed up for the tea party! (Bachmann made a "video" appearance)]

Congressional Republican calls for governor to be shot.
Oh, but he wasn’t serious. And if necessary, he’ll repeat that if someone does happen to shoot the governor.
For more in fascism, see Hilzoy’s brilliant torture memo to 1984 quote comparison.

No links, just this: Obama does what Obama does. I don’t think any action taken regarding the torture memos was driven by anything written anywhere by bloggers.
Too many on the left are jumping to assumptions and then backtracking like a Fox News pundit when reality overtakes their faulty expectations.
OBAMA CAN’T FIX EVERYTHING AT ONCE, so consider shutting the fuck up until things actually happen. Glenn Greenwald and Jane Hamsher in particular need to consider taking chill pills at least until the first 100 days are over. They’re great analysts but they’re consistently putting cart before horse and getting a lot of shit wrong in the process.

Chino Otsuka is digitally adding her adult self to pictures of her childhood self.
What a wonderful project and on that uncharacteristically upbeat note….

If Obama has shown the pundit-ocracy anything, it’s that he’s one hell of a lot smarter than any of them. And that he’s at least two moves ahead of the rest of us.
As for the call of the assassination of an elected governor by another elected official, it’s what passes for humor among the irrelevant.
