Right after I uploaded that last post the power went out. This time it was a squirrel on the transistor pole. There was a dead squirrel in the alley but for all I know the power company police could have planted it as a diversion.

If you’re not from here or weren’t here in the ’90s, yes, there were a lot of murders. Almost all involving people who’d moved here from Chicago. Then, after they got done shooting each other up and going to prison for it, it was over but for years the right has been freaking out over it over and over and over again.
It’s no wonder these people are gun nuts. Everything scares the shit out of them.

Newspapers are dying. I’m interested to see what’s next. It could have been newspapers but they’ve been remarkably retarded and I expect the survivors to be the exceptions, not the rule.
Digital is about offering more for free. Capitalism is about charging more for less. Two shits passed in the night. One will float, the other will sink, either way the news’ll still stink.

No, the transformer pole got hit by a wind-assisted branch last month. This was a squirrel climbing up the transistor pole that then feeds our building. Maybe transistor pole is the wrong term, but the power dude had to push up a “transistor” switch to get our power back on.
