WCCO reports that Bill Pulkrabek, the Chair of the Washington County Board of Commissioners and former mayor of Oakdale is in jail for felony and misdemeanor assault charges. City Pages chimes in with the totally extraneous reminder that Bill Pulkrabek is one of Michele Bachmann’s former campaign managers.
No clue why WCCO didn’t think that was newsworthy.
In more important news, Fox News’ Chris Wallace somehow managed to get Bill Kristol to admit on national TV that Texas Gov. Rick Perry might make a “formidable” presidential candidate. They then went back to discussing Anthony Weiner’s alleged Twitter penis pix. [more] [more]

Obviously, if you’re dropping my name you’re not looking to make new friends over at the Great Orange Satan. They thought I was quite rude when I took repeated exception to their taking our last Senate race national.
I don’t care if those conservadems over at Kos like you or not. I kinda LIKE the idea that you and I give them the impression that we aren’t all Minnesota Nice–and that Progressive principles are worth getting grumpy over. I did not exactly compliment Wally Oatmeal (Mondale) in my piece and there are folks rushing to his defense.
I can’t speak for you, but I’m not Minnesota Nice because I’m an Iowegian, stranded here in the not nearly frozen enough north due to the vagaries of chance and now faded dreams of employment.
