[After posting this I reread everything and decided this sounded maybe a little too harsh. Defend Obama if you like, I just really don't understand why anyone would bother, at least not before the fall of 2012.]
Personally, I have ALWAYS believed that it is not disloyal to criticize incumbents right up until they have overcome their primary opposition, and then only if you admit to being a member of the same party.
